The Combined Councils of Labrador are calling upon both sides of the latest Voisey's Bay Strike to get back to the negotiation table. The current dispute between TSI and its workers is and will continue to have a negative effect on Labrador's 32 Communities. The two sides must meet in order to reach an agreement that will see workers back to work.

The Combined Councils of Labrador are extremely concerned and disappointed with the drastic changes to the Summer Student Employment Program administered by Service Canada. Many Labrador community groups such as Town Councils, Local Service Districts and Community Governments who have in the past relied on Summer Student Employment were shocked to hear that they did not meet the criteria.
